First Use

Your FINEX cookware comes pre-seasoned to a goldenΒ bronze that’s ready to go right out of the box.

The first few times you cook, we recommend using a bitΒ more oil than usual to start building up the seasoning.Β Bacon is our personal favorite for new pans. Hold off onΒ cooking acidic foods for your first few uses. Once theΒ seasoning builds up, both your cast iron and carbon steel cookware will handle anyΒ food with ease.Β

Cleaning

For easy cleaning, wash your FINEX cookware by handΒ immediately after use with warm water.

You’ll find itΒ easiest to clean while it’s still warm. To avoid rust, doΒ not soak, leave in the sink, or put cookware in theΒ dishwasher.

For best results, we recommend using ourΒ 3 Piece CareΒ Kit. We designed each piece with FINEX cookware inΒ mind; a chain mail scrubber and oak wood scraper thatΒ fit our skillet corners and grill ribs, combined with aΒ bottle of our 100% organic flaxseed oil.

Scrape Oil & Dry

If needed, remove any stubborn bits of food with eitherΒ our Chain Mail Scrubber or Oak Wood Scraper.

After cleaning, wipe dry. Buff in a light coating of oilΒ and warm on your stove or in the oven to evaporateΒ moisture and you’re ready for meals and memories toΒ come.

Seasoning

Your seasoning will darken and patina from a goldenΒ bronze to a glossy black.

Your cookware will develop aΒ cohesive seasoning the more you cook with it β€”Β splotchy and uneven seasoning is common as theΒ seasoning is developing. You can help the processΒ along or fix trouble spots by buffing in a light coat of oilΒ and heating over medium heat until the oil begins toΒ smoke.

Every piece of FINEX cookware comes guaranteed goodΒ forever. If your cookware ever fails, we’ll repair orΒ replace it. Any questions?Β Contact usΒ and we’ll help youΒ out.
